Is it very nerdy if I admit I like numbers that look cool together?
Like today's date: September 9th, 2009 a.k.a.:
(not too mention its one of those days I don't have to worry if I'm writing the day European or US style, they coincide! lol)
And wouldn't you know, apparently there's a movie called 9 hitting the screens today (well, in the US at least. It comes out next Wednesday in Belgium)!

Hi Chris,
ReplyDeletePlease go to my blog and pick up your award.
Love,
Herrad
True that! Those pesky americans writing the month first... so confusing for everyone! haha.
ReplyDeleteVery true O! Although I must admit that when I say dates in English... my American side does tend to sneak up on me and I sometimes find myself writing the numbers à l'américaine! :p
ReplyDeleteThis of course never happens to me when I'm jabbering away in French or Spanish! ;o)
OH, I'm such a dolt! It took your post for me to understand what that movie 9 is supposed to mean...I'm a little slow, but eventually I get there. LOL!!
ReplyDelete"Slow but easy does it" said the tortoise to the hare! ;o)
ReplyDeleteHi CrazyChris, I am so glad Herrad gave you the "moonlight", which then made you go to my blog, and brought me to yours. I read your profile and we have similar backgrounds. I dont know where is home either. I was born and grew up in Mozambique. Left Mozambique when I turned 20 and have changed countries and continents every 4 years or so. Right now I also live in Spain, just like you, but I am in Madrid. And I miss the sea.
ReplyDeleteI am going to catch up on your blog and will be coming here often.
It's lovely of you to stop by Celeste Maia! I so enjoy reading tales by other people of shifting geographic backgrounds!
ReplyDeleteMadrid's a great city, but I'm not sure I'd want to live there for too long! Too landlocked for my taste! ;o)
Although I'm currently landlocked myself for the next 3 months... in Liège Belgium instead of Alicante...
I look forward to seeing more of you around here and reading about you at your place! :o)
And it will never happen again in uour lifetime! ...Unless I live to be 153.
ReplyDeleteI finally made time to check out the link you sent me. That parody was about the lady that I saw that made me post in the first place! I'm glad that most of the people here in Blogville are sane!
ReplyDeleteIndeed! ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh, and there's always 10.10.10 to look forward to next year! :p
